Love under setting sun

“…If we love others, we live in the light, and so there is nothing in us that will cause someone else to sin…”1 John 2:10 (GNT)

As a believer in Christ Jesus, one thing you must make a conscious decision to do in your life is to learn the art of loving other people just the way you love yourself. If you can do this, you will be amazed at how wonderful your relationships with others will be and it will also attract to you the wonderful things of life that you never thought could be possible in your life. Sadly, many people do not think it is necessary to love other people. They feel the right thing to do is to love some and hate some and they do this, because somehow they think that some people cannot be trusted.

Now, while that may look like it makes some sense, it is not Biblical. The Bible does not recommend that we love some people and hate some people, instead what the Bible says is that“….the second most important commandment is this: ‘Love your neighbor as you love yourself.’ There is no other commandment more important than these two….”Mark 12:31 (GNT). The first commandment which was handed over to us by our Lord Jesus Christ Himself is to love God with all your heart. The second one is to love your neighbor as yourself. From this, we see that we have a responsibility to love others irrespective of their race, nationality, and character. No wonder the Bible says “…Be under obligation to no one—the only obligation you have is to love one another. Whoever does this has obeyed the Law….”Roman 13:8 (GNT). Therefore, train yourself to love the people that come around you.
