“…I affirm, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily…”1 Corinthians 15:31 (NKJV)

Beloved, do you know that your greatest enemy is not demons but the flesh? Do you realize that the flesh is one thing that is coming in the way of your progress and achievement in life? Well, I know this might sound shocking but that is just the truth. Many religious folks will not agree with me on this but trust me, the flesh is one of our greatest enemies and as a believer, you must learn how to hold the flesh back so that it doesn’t end up holding you back.

One of the key reasons why the flesh is our greatest enemy is because that is what strengthens demonic activities in our lives. Demons depend on the weakness of the flesh to strike and hinder us. They depend on our inability to control the flesh and use that as a means to attack us in many different ways.

Therefore, it is imperative that we learn to control the flesh daily. We must learn to put the flesh under and not give it all the things that it desires. The reason is that when we give to the flesh what it wants, it takes control over our lives and empowers demons against us. Not only so, it moves us into that place where we begin to violate the scriptures as well. Paul the Apostle knew the importance of bringing the flesh under and he said, “…I harden my body with blows and bring it under complete control, to keep myself from being disqualified after having called others to the contest….”1 Corinthians 9:27 (GNT). Did you see that? Paul the Apostle, knew that if he did not handle the flesh, he could be disqualified. If you do not want to be disqualified, I encourage you to discipline the flesh daily and one of the best ways to do that, is to fast from time to time and avoid giving the body what it truly desires. Praise God!

Today’s Rhema

If you do not want demons to take advantage of you, put the flesh under subjection!

Confession for the Day

Father, I am grateful for this wonderful opportunity you have given to me to learn the truth about the flesh. I receive grace today to put the flesh under subjection and as I do this, I paralyze the activities of demons around me in the name of Jesus. Amen!
