“…Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice…”Ephesians 4:31 (NKJV)
If there is one thing the devil is using to keep many of God’s people bound today is bitterness. Bitterness is like a disease that eats very deep into the lives of men and corrupts their lives such that nothing they do comes out right because of the root of bitterness that is in their heart. The question is, is this how God wants us to live our lives? The answer is No.
Beloved, you must understand that as a believer, God wants you to keep your heart free from all manner of bitterness. In our opening text, the Bible says “…Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice…”Ephesians 4:31 (NKJV). Did you see that? So, make a conscious decision to put these things away from your life. I know that sometimes, it is difficult to do because of the wickedness and injustice that has eaten deep into the fabrics of our society but now you have love residing in your heart (Romans 5:5), which is the nature of God in you. So, getting bitterness off your heart shouldn’t be a problem. Hallelujah!

Confession for the Day
Father, I thank you for the nature of love which you have imparted into my Spirit. I choose this day to get rid of bitterness. No matter how offended I may be at any time, I will not allow bitterness to fester in my heart and as I do this, I am living an excellent life in Jesus name. Amen!
