“…for you have magnified your word above all your name.” Psalms 138:2 (NKJV)
As you journey in your walk with God, it is important to understand that God has a current revelation of who He is today. In the past, God revealed Himself to the Israelites in parts. At one point, He revealed Himself as a healer; at another time, He revealed Himself as the Lord of Hosts, and the list goes on. But when our Lord Jesus Christ was revealed, He came to represent the totality of God. In other words, God the healer, the deliverer, the man of war, the compassionate one, and everything God is, was revealed in Christ Jesus. So, today, everything God is can be found in Jesus. Every time you call the name of Jesus, you are calling on everything God is and can be. I know this might confuse you a bit, but don’t worry, I will explain.
The totality of who God is has been vested in Jesus. That’s why the Bible says, “…it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell…” (Colossians 1:19, NKJV) and “…For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily…” (Colossians 2:9, NKJV). So when you call the name Jesus, you are referring to God and everything He represents. When you call the name Jehovah Rapha, you are referring to God the healer. But when you call the name Jesus, you are referring to God the healer, the provider, and everything else you can think of. That is why the Bible says, “…at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father…” (Philippians 2:10-11, NKJV). Did you see that? The reason for this is that Jesus is the fullness of the Godhead bodily.
Therefore, on the strength of this, I admonish you to use the name of Jesus more because that name encapsulates all the revelation of who God is and all He can do in your life. Praise God!
Today’s Rhema

Confession for the Day
Thank you heavenly father for reminding me of the revelation you have brought to us, I hereby declare that the name of Jesus will no longer be scarce on my lips. I will do all things in the name and as I do make progress in righteousness in the name of Jesus. Amen!
