“…And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover….” Mark 16:17‭-‬18 (NKJV)

One of the beautiful things about what our Lord Jesus Christ did for us through His finished work, is that He gave us authority in His name. In our opening text, the Bible says “…these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover…”Mark 16:17‭-‬18 (NKJV). From this we see that authority has been granted us because we believe in Jesus and His finished work on the Cross of Calvary.

Now, the significance of this, is that as you journey in your Christian walk, you are to take advantage of this authority and not allow any demonic activities to fester in your life. Remember, the devil will do everything possible to oppress you and make you doubt your identity in Christ Jesus. He would push you to the wall and give you wrong opinions about God and His promises, but refuse to give in to it. Instead, put your authority to work. Use the name of Jesus and scatter such activities in your life. Refuse to be quiet about the activities of darkness against your life because that is the reason authority was given to you. Become conscious of this truth and use your authority in Christ Jesus to fix whatever the enemy has brought into your life. Praise God!

Today’s Rhema

No matter the demonic activities confronting you right now can be terminated, just use your authority in Christ Jesus!

Confession for the Day

I refuse to allow any form of demonic activities or oppression to fester in my life. I choose to use my authority in Christ Jesus and as I do that, I am recording daily victory in my life in the name of Jesus. Amen!
