“…Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water” so they filled them to the brim. Then he told them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet….” —John 2:7-8 (NIV)

Our Lord Jesus Christ in the beginning of His ministry was invited for a wedding in Cana of galilee, and while He was there with His disciples, they ran out of wine. His mother came to Him and told Him that they have no wine. So she instructed the servants, saying “whatever He says to you, do it” John 2:5 (NKJV). Then Jesus said to them, “…fill the water pots with water…” And they filled them up to the brim. And He said to them, “Draw some out now, and take it to the master of the feast” and they took it. When the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bride groom. And he said to him, “every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guest have well drunk, then the inferior. You kept the good wine until now” John 2:9-10 (NKJV) He was so pleased with the wine but he didn’t know that the wine he drank, was first a dirty water used for purification by the Jews before they enter into the temple. However, that was the hand work of Jesus Christ, He turned the water into wine.

Now, the same miracle is what Jesus has done in my life and in your life. Taking the sinner away from who he used to be, where he used to live, and gave him something new, something he has never seen before. Beloved, there are things in your life that you may consider as the worst thing that ever happened to you, there are news you may have heard or unfortunate incidents that may have befallen you, and you are thinking, “It’s just bad.” Well, the good news I have for you today is, you can turn it to become the most important and beautiful experience you could ever have. Am saying the ugliest character you have can be changed into the most beautiful part of you, am saying, the most disappointing thing that happened to you can be changed and become the most promising aspect of your life. Or the most unforgettable and unforgivable thing you ever did can be turned around for good. My point here is; every situation can get better, everything can change and every person can be improved. Change is the most constant thing we could ever enjoy. So don’t stay in one place complaining about what you have and what you don’t have, don’t wallow in the mistakes you made in the past because you aren’t the first to make one and you won’t be the last to. Take advantage of the things that has happened to you, and let it help to embrace alternative ways of doing things. Let your mistakes and mishaps help you receive improvement. And there would be no difference between the miracle Jesus Christ did in Cana of galilee and the one you choose to do with the mistakes you ever made or the things that have happened to you.
