“Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed….” Isaiah 53:4-5 (NKJV)
The devil in all his wickedness will do everything possible to bring you all kinds of trouble. He will push you to the wall and drive you to depression. But as a believer, it is your responsibility to resist him and make sure he doesn’t get to you. You might say but how do I do that when the challenges I have found myself are tough? Well, do it through knowledge; for it written, “…through knowledge shall the just be delivered…” Proverbs 11:9 (NKJV). So, the first thing you must do is to equip yourself with the right knowledge which includes the fact that Jesus Christ has borne your distress and carried your sorrow.
In our opening text, the Bible says “…Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows…” Isaiah 53:4 (NKJV). In the Amplified version it says, “…surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment]….” Isaiah 53:4 (AMPC). This means our Lord Jesus Christ has already borne the burden for you so that your victory can be established. Now, all you need is to walk with this consciousness and know that whatever you are facing right now is only a mirage. If you can hold on to this truth and keep pressing on in faith, prayers and thanksgiving, you will certainly come out of that challenge victoriously.
So, I admonish you today to walk with this truth. No matter what you face, always remember that our Lord Jesus Christ already went through the same for your victory to be established. Therefore, stand on the integrity of His finished work and go for victory. Praise God!

Confession for the Day
Glorious and ever living Father, I thank you for reminding me of what Jesus Christ did for me through His finished work. I choose this day to stand on the integrity of the finished work of Jesus and I refuse to allow my present challenges to weigh me down because I know that whatever the situation may be, I have the victory already in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah!
