Ascension day concept: The scars In the hands of Jesus Christ over tombstone sunrise background

“…and behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean”. Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed”, immediately his leprosy was cleansed…” Matthew 8:2-3 (NKJV)

Several years ago, I was counseling a young man who was having issues with his eyes. I asked him if he had prayed regarding the situation, and he said “not really”. Upon hearing this, I tried my best to encourage him on the power of prayers. But he asked a remarkable question. “If I pray, do you think Jesus would come to my aid?” he asked. I was shocked to have heard that because then I realized that the devil had been lying to him. Sadly, this is the same lie that many of God’s people have come to believe today. He makes them believe that God is unwilling to help them. He makes them believe that their situation is beyond solution with questions like “if God was willing to help, why did He allow the problem in the first place?”.

If you are one of those faced with such questions, I have news for you. The Lord Jesus Christ is more than willing to help you and deliver you from that situation. You’ve got to understand that the Lord is not against you but for you. In His words, He said “…the thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full…” John 10:10 (NIV). Did you see that? Refuse to allow the devil to tell you otherwise. You might say but if He is willing to help, why did He allow this situation to come in the first place? Well, for your information, He didn’t allow it, you did. The very moment you acknowledged the challenges you are going through and accepted them, you allowed it. However, it is never too late, whatever you are going through now, you’ve to understand that our Lord Jesus Christ is more than willing to help you and pull you out of that challenge. In some cases, He could pull you out, but in some other cases, He would see you through. Meaning that even though you are going through a lot of difficulties, He won’t allow you break down half way but will strengthen you and see you through no matter what. Therefore, change your mindset towards Him and know that He is ever willing to help you. Hallelujah!

Today’s Rhema

Our Lord Jesus Christ is more willing to help you than you are willing to receive His help!

Confession for the Day

Father, I am grateful for your love and for your willingness to help me. I refuse therefore to wallow in any kind of complication. I choose to take it up in prayer and as I pray I receive divine help and I am coming out victoriously in the name of Jesus. Amen!
