If You Believe, You Will See the Glory of God

“…Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God…” John 11:40 (NKJV)

In our opening scripture, we see our Lord Jesus Christ, speaking to Martha the sister of Lazarus. Lazarus had been dead for 4 days, and Jesus was at the place where he was buried, asking that the cave of Lazarus be opened. Martha knew the master so well and yet did not believe that anything else could be done about her brother Lazarus because he was already dead. However, Jesus said to her that she would only see the glory of God if she believed. 

Many times, a lot of us have behaved like Martha, unable to believe that we could see a turnaround in one small matter because in our minds we think it’s too late since the inevitable has taken place. But in the case of Martha, we see and learn that God takes pleasure in revealing his glory in the impossible.

The same Words Jesus spoke to Martha are being spoken to us today, “If you believe, you will see the glory of God.” It’s not a hard thing to see the power of God revealed in the matters that pertain to our lives, it’s not a hard thing to see God display himself as God in our issues, but we must believe He can and He will. We must believe in His ability to do exceeding and abundant things above all that we could ask or imagine. Our God is great, and we don’t need to be reminded of this. His greatness and power have no limit, His greatness has no bounds. Let us put our faith in God in all matters, difficult and easy, possible and impossible matters. So let God reveal His glory in the matters concerning you today, for it is your appointed time to receive answers to your prayers. Amen!
