“…let your eyes look straight ahead, and your eyelids look right before…”—Proverbs 4:25 (NKJV)

Do you want to be a success in life? Do you want to achieve so much in the shortest possible time? Do you want to struggle less but still make a lot of progress in life? Then you must consider identifying your distractions, because this is one of the major tools that the devil uses against us today to keep us in a place of unfruitfulness and stagnancy. The devil knows that He does not have power over you because that right has been taken away from him by Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the risen Lord. So what he does is try to manipulate you because he knows that this is the only way he can get to you. He is full of schemes and strategies and all these come in the form of distractions, which we most often fall for because these things come in disguise. In most cases, he uses the things we love most to keep us away from our dreams and goals, and when he comes through this area, it is very difficult to recognize what is happening behind the scenes, but thank God for the Holy Scriptures, which let us know that we must not be ignorant of the devices of the devil (2 Corinthians 2:11)

So make a conscious decision to outsmart the devil by identifying your distractions. When you are able to figure out your distractions, you have identified the key to your success. Every distraction holds the key to your next level. If you can override the distraction, you will step into greater things. Distractions are a stronghold that takes our focus away from the goals and dreams that we have purposed to achieve in our hearts. When distraction is at work, you find yourself channeling all your strength in the wrong direction and investing your time on the wrong agenda. But when you are able to take your focus off the wrong agenda, your focus will surely be directed to the right things, which ultimately brings you promotion. So choose this day to identify the things in your life that bring you distraction. It could be your friends, a habit, an appetite, or even the places you go. Whatever it is, identify it early and do away with it, for God’s plan is to see you focused on achieving the things He wants you to achieve. And that is why it is written in the scriptures, Let your eyes look straight ahead, and your eyelids look right before… Proverbs 4:25 (nkjv)
