“…those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint…” Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV)

Have you ever been in a situation where you realize your zeal for spiritual things is burning low? Have you ever found yourself becoming spiritually dry and you are wondering what is going on? Well, don’t wonder anymore, I have news for you, it happens. Being spiritually dry is no news at all. Very many people do experience this, but the problem here is coming out of it. So I am going to be showing you a few steps on how to come out of every spiritual dryness and be fired up to do more in life and achieve more for God and His Kingdom.

First of all, you ought to go back to God’s word for studies and meditation. In my walk with God so far, I discovered that one of the things that boost your spiritual zeal or inspiration is His word. Whenever you find yourself becoming spiritually dry, it only means that you are no longer dwelling on God’s word and its reality. And this happens when we get so busy and occupied that you no longer have time for God’s word. However, you must make a conscious decision to study for God’s word daily and dwell on the words you have read. Let them minister to you and let it gain roots in you. I know that most people do not really understand how important this is but trust me it is very important. If your passion for the things of God will keep burning, it can only come from you investing time in the word of God. The people of old understood these things and that was what made Job to say, “…I have not departed from the commandment of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my necessary food…” Job 23:12 (NKJV). Did you see that? When the word of God becomes like a necessary food to you, you will not lack motivation.

Today’s Rhema

When the word of God becomes like a necessary food to you, you will not lack motivation!

Confession for the Day

Father, I am grateful for these inspiring words. I decree therefore that the grace to give adequate attention to the word of God is at work in my life. I decree that as I do this, my passion for the things of the Spirit, continues to burn fervently in the name of Jesus. Amen!
