“But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” — Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV)

Have you ever noticed your zeal for spiritual things fading? Or felt spiritually dry, wondering what’s happening? Don’t worry—it happens to many people. Experiencing spiritual dryness is common, but the challenge lies in overcoming it. Here are some steps to reignite your inspiration, stay spiritually charged, and accomplish more for God.

First, return to God’s word for study and meditation. One of the most powerful ways to revive your spiritual zeal is by immersing yourself in His word. If you’re feeling spiritually dry, it’s often a sign that you’re no longer deeply dwelling on God’s word. Life’s busyness can make us drift away, but make a conscious decision to study the word daily. Let it minister to you and take root in your heart.

Second, add prayer and fasting to your study. Why are fasting and prayer so vital? Fasting sensitizes your spirit, activating your spiritual senses to be more aware of God’s voice. It allows His word to resonate more deeply, bringing lasting revelation. Prayer, meanwhile, stirs up your spirit, grounding the word you’ve studied firmly in your heart.

Lastly, stay positive and change your perspective. Sometimes, what people call spiritual dryness is simply a mindset shift that needs to happen. The fact that you don’t feel or hear God doesn’t mean He is absent; it just means you must remain in faith. Remember, as Isaiah 40:31 says, “Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles…” Hallelujah!

Today’s Rhema

The fact that you cannot feel God or hear Him does not mean He is far—He is with you always!
