“I harden my body with blows and bring it under complete control, to keep myself from being disqualified…” —1 Corinthians 9:27 (GNT)

Many times, I have heard lots of people say things that they honestly want to achieve or become in life but their desires are not always followed up with a corresponding action. Because they are not willing to make the necessary sacrifices that are required to achieve their goal or become the person that they want to become. You see a person who says, I really want to be a doctor, and yet is not willing to study for about six to eight years to achieve his goal. It simply means that desires will never come to pass. It is not enough to desire to be a doctor; you must be willing to make the sacrifices that are needed for it to happen. With every desire comes a corresponding action, but without that action, desires will only remain as desires. I want you to understand that it is possible to be anything or achieve anything in life, but you see, it is not enough to have a desire; you must back it up with actions required for the achievement to take place.

The action we are talking about here is sacrifice. Sacrifice, which is the down payment for the things desired, is a must, if you are ever going to make a difference in your life, family, and society. Therefore, I encourage you to ponder on this thought today. What do you want to achieve in your life? What are your goals and targets? What do you want to become in the near future? Beloved, it is possible, but you must be willing to act or do what is necessary to give you an expected end. So, the question is, are you willing to make the sacrifices that are required of you? Well, you should, and you will be amazed at the transformation that will take place in your life in a very short period of time. Praise God!

Today’s Rhema

Until you are willing to make sacrifices for the things that you desire, do not expect to achieve anything!

Confession for the Day

Father, I am grateful for reminding me of the need to make sacrifices, I therefore receive grace to make the right sacrifices in the area of my dreams, calling in the name of Jesus. Amen
