“Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?’” — John 11:25-26 (NKJV)

It is another Easter celebration. Today, we celebrate justification, life, and hope. You see, before Jesus paid the ultimate price, humanity was spiritually dead because of the disobedience of the first man, Adam. Even though people were physically alive, they were spiritually dead—disconnected from God, the Source of life. In that fallen state, we had no hope of eternity with God. However, God in His infinite mercy chose to send His Son, Jesus, to reconcile us to Himself by suffering the penalty for our offenses.

The Bible says, “…He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him…” — Isaiah 53:5 (NKJV). It also records, “…He was oppressed and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth…” — Isaiah 53:7 (NKJV). Jesus endured all of this, even unto death. He died for our trespasses, but the story did not end there. He was raised back to life after three days for our justification (Romans 4:25).

Today, because He was raised back to life, we celebrate a new life. We are no longer dead to God but alive to Him. When we stand before God, we don’t stand condemned; we stand justified. Because we are justified, no matter the challenges, persecutions, or tribulations we may face, we have hope that our victory is secure. Not only that, but when we leave this world, we have hope that we will spend eternity with Christ. For it is written, “For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.” — 1 Thessalonians 4:14 (NKJV)

Therefore, rejoice because the resurrection of Jesus is indeed a celebration of justification, life, and hope. Christ in us is truly our hope of glory (Colossians 1:27). Refuse to let the enemy bring accusations against you, because you are justified before God through the resurrection of Jesus. As a matter of fact, the Bible says, “Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.” — Romans 8:30 (NKJV). Hallelujah!

Today’s Rhema

No matter the odds you face, always remember that Jesus paid the price so you can have victory all the way!

Confession for the Day

I am alive and not dead to God. I am justified before Him and not condemned. I am walking in victory and not failure. I am walking in glory because, through the finished work of Jesus, I have been justified and glorified. Hallelujah!
