Do you want to see the results that the bible talks about in every area of your life? Do you want to walk in the path God wants you to walk in without stumbling in life? If yes, you must make a conscious decision to follow divine instructions. Why, you might ask? Because divine instructions preserve your life and keep you on the path you should go. A man without instructions is like a blind man and his journey through life would be a rough one. A vivid example of what I am talking about is the story of a man called Naaman in the scriptures who was a leper. God used him mightily to bring victory to the Syrians but he was afflicted with leprosy. One day, his servant girl recommended that he should go and meet Elisha in Samaria to help him. He yielded to that counsel and went in search of Elisha. When he came in contact with the man of God, he was instructed to go and wash in the Jordan River seven times.
At first, he didn’t want to go because the man of God didn’t come out to meet him, however his servants advised him to go and do it since it wasn’t a difficult task. So, he went and got it done and his health was restored because he followed the instructions of the man of God (Scripture Reference: 2 Kings 5:1-15). Imagine he had not followed the instructions; his health challenge would have remained. But he was a man who was willing to follow counsel. First it was his servant girl that advised him, then his servants and finally, the man of God. He was willing to follow instructions and this brought him restoration in his health. Like Naaman, you too can be restored in different areas of your life, if you will learn to follow the instructions given to us by God in His Word. Whether and in the dream of the night, or the instructions coming from the pulpit by God’s servants. If you can start giving value to divine instructions and following them, your life will not remain the same. So, begin today to cultivate the habit of following divine instructions, it will help your life a great deal. Praise God!
