“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” — Romans 10:17 (NKJV)
In my walk with God, I have encountered many kinds of people, and one particular group stands out—those who desire to walk in great faith but neglect the very thing that builds it: the Word of God. They expect their faith to grow and produce results without feeding it with the essential ingredient that strengthens it. But faith doesn’t work that way.
Even though God has given every man a measure of faith (Romans 12:3), it is our responsibility to nurture and develop it. If faith is not groomed, it may exist, but it will lack the power to deliver the kind of results we truly desire. That’s why this message is important. If you want your faith to be strong and effective, you must make the Word of God a priority in your life—whether by reading it or listening to it. Choose whichever format is convenient, but be intentional about engaging with it and believing it wholeheartedly.
When you do this, you will never run out of zeal or passion for God and His righteousness. The Word of God doesn’t just build faith; it also fuels spiritual hunger and keeps your heart on fire for Him.
Today, many people say, “I don’t know what’s happening to me. I no longer feel the desire to be in church or study my Bible.” The reason is simple: they have disconnected from the very source that sustains their faith. Without regular intake of the Word, spiritual passion fades.
So, I encourage you to be diligent in your faith walk. Take God’s Word seriously because it holds the power to unlock unimaginable faith and possibilities in your life. Make time to hear the Word being preached, believe in it, and apply it to your life. As you do, your faith will rise mightily, and you will see extraordinary results. Hallelujah!
