Have No Confidence in the Flesh

“…For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh…”– Philippians 3:3 (NKJV)

One of the most important lessons I learned in my growing days as a believer, is that flesh (Man) cannot be depended upon. While this may sound ridiculous, it is the truth. I know that interpersonal relationships have a role to play in your existence, but the truth is that flesh (man) is limited and can’t really do much for you.

Therefore, it is important that you take your eyes off any man and keep your focus on Jesus and His word. Flesh will surely fail you, but our Lord Jesus Christ will never fail you. All you need to do is cling unto Him and His Word in your time of difficulty. He has said “…come to me, all of you who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke and put it on you, and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble in spirit; and you will find rest. For the yoke I will give you is easy, and the load I will put on you is light….” Matthew 11:28‭-‬30 (GNT)

You may say but is it that easy? Well, if you can cling to men who are not reliable and believe their promises and at the end of the day, you face disappointments, why can’t you cling unto Jesus who will not fail you and hold on to His promises? Well, you should be able to do that and when you do, you will be amazed how things will turn around in your favor. So, keep your faith in Jesus and in His infallible word and put no confidence in flesh (men) Hallelujah!

Today’s Rhema

If you can put your confidence in Jesus and not in men, your results in life will be exceptional!

Confession for the Day

Thank you Father for your word and your counsel, I choose this day to put my confidence in you and not in men. I choose to cling on to your promises and not on the promises of men and as I do this, I am breaking forward and walking in victory in Jesus name. Amen!
