“…moral character makes for smooth traveling; an evil life is a hard life. Good character is the best insurance; crooks get trapped in their sinful lust….”Proverbs 11:5-6 (MSG)

In the course of my journey so far, I have been opportuned to meet with lots of people and I discovered that some people have a very bad moral character. They keep scheming on how to do wrong, hurt people and wreck havoc. They love it when things go missing, they love it when people are hurt by them. They just love to be on the wrong side of the law, but the question is, is this how God wants us to live our lives? The answer is a big no.

Beloved, you must understand that, as a believer, you are called to maintain a good moral standard and to uphold righteousness and justice. I know that these things I just mentioned are no longer a pursuit in our societies, but you see, as a kingdom ambassador and a believer in Christ Jesus, good moral conduct, justice, and righteousness ought to be your everyday pursuit. People should meet you and see that you have good moral conduct. People should have dealings with you and be confident they will not have a bad experience because of your moral conduct.

Remember, we are Christ’s representatives on earth today. Whatever our Lord Jesus Christ did not engage Himself in, should not be found in us. In other words, we should not be found doing things that our Lord Jesus Christ never did when He walked the face of the earth. So, as you journey in your Christian walk, make a conscious decision to maintain good moral conduct, uphold the righteous, and be a believer who goes all out for justice. Avoid anything that will put you on the wrong side of the Lord. Every day, look for ways to improve your moral conduct and stay away from any kind of unrighteousness. The Bible says, “….moral character makes for smooth traveling; an evil life is a hard life. Good character is the best insurance; crooks get trapped in their sinful lust…” Proverbs 11:5-6 (MSG)

Today’s Rhema

Every day, look for ways to improve your moral conduct and stay away from all unrighteousness!

CONFESSION ON FOR THE DAY

Father, I am grateful for this insightful teaching. I choose this day to maintain a good moral conduct, to uphold righteousness and justice and I will not go back on these moral standards by the help of God in Jesus name. Amen!
