Most of the time, when we emphasize believers having good character, some people get offended because they feel they’ve heard enough on the subject. But, come to think of it, how much of this lecture is too much?
You see, no matter how much we emphasize this issue, it will never be enough considering the damage it can cause when you don’t have good character. Beloved, I have seen people lose great opportunities and relationships because of bad character. I have seen people die before their time because of bad character. I have seen people lose their businesses because of bad character and the list goes on.
So you see, this subject cannot be overemphasized. If you want to avoid the costly price people pay for having bad character, you must make a conscious decision to carefully invest in your character. And to do this, you have to embrace the word of God. God’s word will help you develop the right mindset and attitude. Interestingly, when you begin to embrace God’s word, you will be the one to enjoy it because the benefits are more than you can imagine. That is why the Bible says, “…good character is the best insurance; crooks get trapped in their sinful lust…” Proverbs 11:6 (MSG). Did you see that? So, become conscious of your character and it will be a blessing to you and your world.

Every trace of bad character in me is terminated today and the grace to develop the right character is at work in me. As I develop myself in this area, my life and relationships are improving in Jesus name. Amen!
