“…your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying “this is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right hand of whenever you turn to the left…” —Isaiah 30:21 (NKJV)

Having established the importance of hearing the voice of God in the first part of this article, you must understand that your success in any area of your life is completely dependent on your ability to hear God’s opinion regarding a matter. Sadly, many do not think it is important to hear God’s opinion on anything. So, in most cases, they just make decisions without getting to know what God has to say and, in the end, they make a lot of mistakes. Beloved, this is not how it ought to be. If you truly want to avoid big mistakes in your life and embrace God’s plan for your life, you must learn to prioritize hearing God’s voice or opinion concerning a matter. You must do everything you can to know what He is saying or has to say at any given time. Don’t make decisions without hearing from God. Don’t get into a relationship without hearing from God. Don’t start that business or travel to that city without hearing from God first.

In summary, don’t make certain moves without having heard from God. Learn to depend on God for every move you may want to make. If you do this, you will find that you will never function in the dark. You will always know what to do and how to do it. Whenever you decide to do something, you will do it right the first time. You will not have to repeat it because God already gave you direction. This is why, in our opening scripture, it says, “…your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying “this is the way, walk in it,” Isaiah 30:21 (NKJV). So live every day of your life listening for His voice. You might say, but will God speak to me? Yes, He will, for He said Himself in the book of Jeremiah 33:3, call to me, and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things which you do not know….meaning that God is willing to speak but you must be ready to hear. If you always hear Him, you will excel in all that you do. Praise God!

Today’s Rhema

If you are ever going to succeed in any area of your life, then you must be smart enough to hear from God!

CONFESSION FOR TODAY

All powerful and ever living Father, I thank you for making it possible for me to be able to hear you speak and know the things that you want and the ways in which you want me to go. I declare that, henceforth, my attention will be on hearing you. I will watch out for your voice all the days of my life so that I may walk on the path you want me to walk and not make unnecessary mistakes in the name of Jesus. Amen!
