“…your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying “this is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left…” — Isaiah 30:21 (NKJV)

Do you desire to be truly successful in your life? The key is hearing God’s voice. Too many of God’s people don’t know this, so they end up struggling. They do everything possible to make things work and end up achieving so little. Why? Because they are not hearing from the author of life. You’ve got to understand that you did not just happen on the scene. God, in His foreknowledge, planned your existence. If you are ever going to succeed in any area of your life, then you must be diligent to hear from God so that you can know the things He planned for you before you came on the scene.

Paul the Apostle offered a certain prayer for the Ephesian church, saying, “After I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, I do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation In the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling…” Ephesians 1:18 (NKJV) Take note of the last statement here, He said, that you may know the hope of His calling…” In the New International Version, it says, “…that you may know the hope to which he has called you…” The Apostle Paul knew the importance of this, and it led him to pray this prayer for the Ephesian church. Letting us know that it is important for us to know what God has designed for us beforehand. If Apostle Paul could offer this prayer for the Ephesian church, then it means we have to pray like this often and give full attention to knowing God’s will for our lives. So, you have a responsibility to make a conscious decision to yearn for God’s voice in all that you do. And when you start having access to the voice of God, life becomes easy for you and your success will be established. Praise God!
