“…yet you, Lord, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand…” —Isaiah 64:8 (NIV)

Your life takes a new turn as a believer when you understand that God is the potter, and you are the clay. When you understand this truth, it will help you have a glorious relationship with God. Many people get mad at God because of their circumstances. They come to that point in their lives where they begin to blame God and feel that God is responsible for the things that they go through. In some cases, some people even draw the conclusion in their hearts that God does not want to help them. But is that a valid conclusion? The answer is a big NO.

Beloved, you must understand that no matter what you are going through or experiencing in your life right now, God is not responsible for it. You must understand that God is the potter; He created you and can never be against you. The devil may try to make you believe otherwise, but trust me, God is for you and not against you. As a matter of fact, the Bible says, “If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Romans 8:31-32 (NKJV) Did you see that? This begins to let us know that God is for us and He has proved this by sending His own Son Jesus Christ to die for us. Your responsibility is to understand this truth and align your live with it.

It is true that situations can sometimes be very tough, but this is where you need to remind yourself that God is the potter and you are the clay and for that reason, He wouldn’t want to destroy you but help you come out of that difficulty you have found yourself and also help you actualize His plans for your life. So, the next time you are tempted to think God is the enemy, remember all the beautiful things God has done for you and embrace His loving kindness towards you and use your life to follow and serve Him. Praise God!

Confession for the Day

To the Lord God Almighty, the one who made me and put His breathe within me, I say, my life is yours, and yours to direct. Yours to do with whatever pleases you. You have designed my destiny so it would bring you glory, so let the things you have made me for, begin to manifest in my life. I am yours Lord, today, now and forever. Amen!
