Are you facing a situation that makes it feel as though God is distant? If so, I have good news for you: God is eager to save and help you! It may not always seem that way, especially when you’ve been praying and waiting for answers without seeing immediate results. However, this does not change the truth that God desires to help you.
Many believers struggle to access God’s help because they do not fully understand how to receive it. When you don’t know how to tap into divine assistance, God may seem far away, even though He is right there with you. To truly access His help, there are three key areas you must focus on.
First, you must change your mindset about God. Stop believing the lie that He is unwilling to help you. That is a deception from the enemy. The truth is that God wants to help you—align your thoughts with this reality.
Second, you must believe in God’s willingness and ability to help you. It might sound simple, but many fail to grasp this crucial principle. Hebrews 11:6 says, “No one can please God without faith, for whoever comes to God must have faith that God exists and rewards those who seek him.” (GNT). Did you see that? It’s not just about praying; it’s about truly believing in the One you are praying to. If you are convinced that He is able, you won’t conclude that He is unwilling to help you.
Third, you must ask Him for what you need with persistence, patience, and thanksgiving. Philippians 4:6 reminds us, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” When you combine faith with gratitude and persistence, you position yourself to receive God’s help.
So, take these steps and access God’s help the right way. When you do, you will see Him show up for you in remarkable ways. Praise God!
