He has put his mark of ownership upon us and given us the Holy Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee of all that he has in store for us. —2 Corinthians 1:22 (GNT)
Sometimes, certain spirits attempt to claim ownership over your life. They try to impose covenants on you and persuade you to believe that you belong to them. When such situations arise, you must never give in to their lies. The truth is clear: no spirit can claim ownership over you as long as you believe in Jesus and have invited Him into your life as Lord and personal Savior.
You may ask, why is this so? The reason is simple. Anyone who is in Christ belongs to Him and to Him alone. Your life is not up for negotiation, and your identity is not subject to spiritual intimidation.
Interestingly, when you received Jesus into your life, the Father did something remarkable. Scripture tells us that He has put his mark of ownership upon us and given us the Holy Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee of all that he has in store for us —2 Corinthians 1:22 (GNT). A seal of ownership was placed on you the very moment you received Jesus as your Lord and Savior. This is not symbolic alone; it is a spiritual reality you must become conscious of and live by.
Even when the devil and his cohorts whisper lies and try to tell you that you belong to them, do not accept it. Such claims are not in line with Scripture. Instead, remind the enemy of the truth declared in God’s Word. When you do this, those thoughts and silent suggestions they bring will lose their power and quietly fade away.
So, live every day knowing that you belong to God. The proof of this ownership is the presence of the Holy Spirit in your life. Hallelujah!
Today’s Rhema
A seal of ownership was placed on you the moment you received Jesus as your Lord and Savior, so you belong to Him.
Confession for the Day
Thank You, heavenly Father, for the seal of ownership You have placed upon my life, which is the Holy Spirit. I acknowledge His presence in me, and I declare that any other spiritual entity attempting to lay claim over my life is arrested and rendered powerless toward me in the name of Jesus.
