“…truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, Go, throw yourself into the sea, ‘and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them… “ Mark 11:23 (NIV)

I am a firm believer in saying what you believe. Why? Because Jesus did it. And we also have received instruction from the Lord through his word to do things the way He did them. So I say to you today, “If you believe something, don’t keep it bottled inside you; it is important that you give voice to what you believe; it’s important that you vocalize your faith.” The reason for this is that what you speak out receives strength as often as you say it. This means the more you say what you believe the more it receives the ability to be performed and actualized. You may be thinking, “How is this possible?” Well, It’s possible because of the nature that we have received from God, the Creator of the heavens and the earth. Our life is from God, and the Bible makes it clear that we were made in the image and likeness of God. This means we are expected to express God’s qualities. This was the nature and character displayed by Jesus every time.

When Jesus believed something, He spoke it out and never kept it inside. And every time He spoke, his words always came to pass because of the power in them. At a certain time, the Bible showed us that Jesus spoke to a tree, and the tree died. “He said to the tree, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again.” And His disciples heard him say it.” Mark 11:14 (NIV). And in Mark 11:20-21 (NIV) we saw the fig tree die from its roots. “In the morning, as they went along, they saw the fig tree withered from its root. Peter remembered and said to Jesus, Rabbi, look! The fig tree you cursed has withered!” The disciples were surprised that just by speaking words, the life in the tree disappeared. And we have been taught in the word of God that “as he is, so also are we in this world.” 1 John 4:17 b (NIV) What does this mean for a Christian; it means the whole of nature responds to what you say because there is power in your words. It means that what you are waiting for and crying about is waiting for you to speak your faith. So what are you waiting for? Get to work, give words to your faith, and receive your miracle. Amen!
