“….those who sow in tears shall reap in joy, he who continually goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him…” Psalms 126:5-6 (NKJV)
In my walk with God so far, I discovered that there are lots of principles God has given to us in the scriptures that can change our lives and pull us out of difficult situations. One of such principles is the principle of sowing and reaping. It is a very powerful principle that can change our lives completely but I discovered that there are lots of God’s people today who are actually giving but they are not seeing the desired results. Some have even given up on the principle because they feel it is a waste of time and money. But the truth is that sowing of seeds is something that works anytime, any day. The only reason many are no longer seeing results in sowing of seeds is that they are not abiding by the principles that guide this principle. As a child of God, you need to understand that every principle In God’s word has rules and regulation that guides them. For example, the prayer of the agreement as told to us in Matthew 18:19 is a powerful principle that God honors but you see, behind this principle is a principle. If the prayer of agreement is going to produce results two or three persons must be involved. It is a major rule that needs to be abided to before even considering faith and the rest of it. In the same way, giving as a principle has principles that guide it. If you want to see results you must not play light on the principles. The principles are faith, understanding, and patience. Believe me, any form of giving you do in the house of the Lord without these principles will never produce the desired harvest. You could get some results here and there but you won’t see the kind of results that you truly want to get.
Therefore it is important that as you get involved in any kind of giving in the house of the Lord, you should make sure you give in faith, get to know in detail the purpose for which you are giving and the benefits that go with it. And after you have given be patient for your seed to germinate. Every seed has a growth period and a life span. For example, it is not the day you receive a harvest from the seed of corn that you receive a harvest from a watermelon. They all have their harvest seasons and so is your seeds. So you ought to be very patient after you have given to allow enough time for your seed to germinate. In your patience, try to keep your mouth from saying the wrong things. Refuse to complain and pray for your seeds to produce for you the right harvest. If you can do this, there is no telling the kind of results you will get. So be encouraged to do the needful. Begin today to give in faith, understanding, and patience. Faith helps you to connect to God’s grace in the area of your desires, understanding helps you to give with conviction without drawing back, while patience, helps you to wait for the harvest, no matter how long. Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for opening my eyes and understanding to see the truth behind giving. I declare that as I engage in the principle of giving, I will do it in faith, understanding, and patience. And by the power of your Spirit, nothing can stop me in the name of Jesus. Amen!
