How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent?… —Romans 10:14-15 (NKJV)

One of the greatest needs in the world today is the gift of salvation, and God wants you to be involved in this life-changing activity. Your involvement helps others discover Jesus and receive the salvation He made available. Unfortunately, many believers neglect this responsibility. We get opportunities to witness to others, but we often shy away from them.

This is not how God wants us to live. You must understand that He is counting on you to bring many to righteousness in your world. He is not going to come down from heaven to do this; He has planted you in your school, office, and family to do what is necessary. Your responsibility is to say yes to this commission.

The Bible gives us this mandate:

Anyone who is joined to Christ is a new being; the old is gone, the new has come. All this is done by God, who through Christ changed us from enemies into his friends and gave us the task of making others his friends also. —2 Corinthians 5:17-18 (GNT)

Did you see that? We have been given the task of helping others discover Christ. God saved you through someone who brought you the message of reconciliation. Now, it is your responsibility to extend that same opportunity to others.

Let me explain how salvation is supposed to spread using the story of Jesus feeding the five thousand. The Bible says, “…He blessed and broke and gave the loaves to the disciples; and the disciples gave to the multitudes. So they all ate and were filled…” (Matthew 14:19-20, NKJV). They were all filled because when Jesus blessed and broke the bread, He gave it to the disciples, who then gave it to the multitude.

Imagine if the disciples had kept the bread to themselves; the people would have starved. Because they shared, however, everyone was filled and delivered from hunger. Beloved, this is the story of salvation. The Gospel is the living bread that every person needs to be filled and saved.

He has given us this bread, and we must spread it, not keep it to ourselves. Otherwise, many around us will die without salvation, even though Jesus paid dearly for them. Make a conscious decision today to be involved in someone’s salvation story. Simply do the planting in your workplace, community, or school, and God will cause the increase. Praise God!

Today’s Rhema

Don’t let the living bread stop with you; endeavor to extend it to others!

Confession for the day

Eternal King of Glory, I give You all the praise and adoration for the salvation You have caused me to receive. I declare that I will reciprocate this kindness by spreading the Gospel in the best way I can, and through me, millions will receive their salvation, in the name of Jesus. Amen!
