I am the rose of Sharon, And the lily of the valleys. Like a lily among thorns, So is my love among the daughters. —Song of Solomon 2:1-2 (NKJV)
At a time like this, with so much evil in the world, you must find your strength, joy, and peace in the Holy Spirit to live a fulfilled life. With all His power, He yearns to give us all that He has. The joy the Holy Spirit gives is unspeakable; the way He influences our minds and glows in our spirits is beyond description. The counsel and comfort He gives come at the right time and bring us peace.
He knows how to instruct, direct, and guide you. His friendship is more promising than that of a lifelong friend, and His companionship is more rewarding than an Olympic medal. But if you want to take advantage of all these benefits, you must learn to draw your strength, joy, and peace from Him.
The mistake many believers make today is that they try to draw strength, peace, and joy from their jobs, people, or money. While not a bad idea in itself, what you get from these sources is temporary. Only the Holy Spirit can give you long-lasting peace and joy. Only the Holy Spirit can strengthen you in ways that no one else can.
Therefore, be encouraged to lean on Him for strength and let Him be the source of your peace and joy. Open your heart to Him and extend your undying love toward Him, because He is all you have, and that is all He wants. So, I admonish you today to give your attention to the Holy Spirit and let Him take over. Embrace His love and all that He gives to you, for His love is real, faithful, and true. Hallelujah!
