“…to everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven…” Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NKJV)

As a Christian, one thing you must fight to avoid in times of prayer is distractions. Distraction is a major tool used by the devil to distract God’s people when they are praying. The devil knows that one of the most effective moments for a Christian is the moment of prayers. He knows that prayer is one thing that the Christian uses to overcome and disarm his activities, so he does everything to distract him in times of prayer. The devil will try to stop you from praying, and if he doesn’t succeed, he will do everything possible to distract you. If you are not conscious of his activities, you could spend hours in prayers but be distracted all through.

Sometimes these distractions could be your phone or something meaningless that seeks to take your time. So at the end of the prayer session, nothing is achieved even though hours were spent praying. Many have found themselves in this kind of situation and when they can’t see the results of their prayers, they complain and say, “I pray all the time, but I see no results at all” Well, the reason such things happen is because of a lack of focus during prayers.

Beloved, if you truly want to see prayer change things in your life, then you must fight distractions during prayers. It is something you have to do deliberately. Sometimes, you may need to go to a secluded place where no one will see you and you may also need to turn off your phone for the duration of the prayer. Every effort must be made to avoid distractions, and when you do this, there is no telling what you can accomplish in the place of prayer.

TODAY’S RHEMA

Until and unless you are deliberate about focus during prayer, distractions will be the order of the day!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY

Every agent of darkness that seeks to distract me in the place of prayer is hereby arrested and cast out of my life and I decree that as I pray from henceforth, the spirit of focus shall be at work in me and my prayers are bearing the right fruits in the name of Jesus. Amen!
