“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” —Romans 10:17 (NKJV)

The moment we received Jesus into our lives, faith was imparted into our spirit, for it is written, “God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.” —Romans 12:3 (NKJV). That means faith begins as a measure, but it is meant to grow. If it is going to deliver all that you require and cause you to walk in victory consistently, you will have to invest in it regularly. A seed can produce great results, but it still needs to be nurtured. God wants your faith to grow strong enough to stand when difficult situations arise.

You must understand that there is weak faith and there is strong faith. Romans 4 shows both realities clearly: Abraham was “not being weak in faith,” and later he was “strengthened in faith,” giving glory to God. That is the direction God wants your faith to move in. It is not enough to have received a measure of faith; you have a responsibility to strengthen it so it can produce results when you need them most.

Therefore, make a conscious decision to invest in your faith. How do you do that? Through the Word of God. God’s Word is the material given to us to nurture and grow our faith. It is what you need to make your faith functional and active, for “faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” —Romans 10:17 (NKJV). So give your attention to the Word at all times. Study it, hear it, and meditate on it. When you do, your faith becomes active and your confidence in God becomes stronger.

The one who lives by faith does not live as a victim of circumstances, because “the conquering power that brings the world to its knees is our faith.” —1 John 5:4 (MSG). Hallelujah!

Today’s Rhema

Your faith, as a seed, needs to be nurtured to produce maximum results!

Confession for the Day

My faith is alive and active. I will continue to invest in my faith, live by faith, and walk by faith because I know that it is the victory that overcomes the world. Hallelujah!
