Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. —Hebrews 11:1 (NKJV)
Beloved, when you find yourself in any kind of difficulty, what you express matters greatly. Most times, the devil wants you to express fear, but that is not what the Lord desires for you. He wants you to express faith rather than fear. Faith is the evidence that guarantees you will emerge from your situation victoriously.
Something you must understand about faith is that it is the evidence of things not seen. When you express faith during difficult times, you are affirming that although you are in a trial, it is not your final reality. At first, it may feel as though you are wasting your time, but things will eventually change because of your persistence in faith.
I encourage you to express faith whenever challenges arise. You might ask, “How do I do this?” It is simple! You express faith through your thoughts, words, and actions. You must do this without wavering or doubting, as this is the proof that you truly trust the Master. It shows you are convinced that your petitions before the Father are already answered.
This was the attitude Abraham possessed. The Bible says that he did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God —Romans 4:20 (NKJV). This mindset transformed his life. His name was changed from Abram, meaning “exalted father,” to Abraham, which means “father of many.” The moment he began to call himself the father of many, Isaac appeared.
What are you expressing in your time of difficulty? Are you speaking fear or speaking faith? Are you calling yourself by the name of your problem, or are you calling yourself what you desire to be? I admonish you to put your faith to work by relying on the Word of God. If you face lack, announce that you are rich. Your announcement is the evidence that what you have said will become reality. If you face a health condition, declare that you have sound health.
