“…and these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover…” Mark 16:17‭-‬18 (NKJV)

As you journey in your Christian walk with God, one of the things you must do to help yourself enjoy the provisions of the finished works of Jesus is to exercise authority over bodily afflictions often. Many believers do not know that they can actually do this, so they allow afflictions to take over their body and cause a lot of damage which ought not to be so.

Beloved, you must understand that through the finished work of our Lord Jesus Christ, authority has been given to you in Christ Jesus to address any affliction that tries to take over your body. That’s why in our opening text, one of the signs that is to follow a believer is that, they will lay hands on the sick and they recover ( Mark 16:18)

Therefore, beloved, I charge you today to learn how to take authority over those afflictions and rebuke it. When you do this again and again, it has no choice but to go. Now, you might say, is it that easy? Well, the answer is yes and I know it might sound ridiculous but that is the truth. You need to understand that 95 percent of the bodily afflictions that people face in life are caused by demons and these demons make it impossible for those conditions in the body to respond to medicine. So, when you understand this and begin to rebuke those demons in the name of Jesus, it will surely respond because the Bible says, at mention of the name Jesus, every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth and of those under the earth ( Philipians 2:9). Did you see that? Therefore take advantage of this truth and begin today to exercise authority over any discomfort you feel in your body. Do it in faith and you will surely come back with a testimony.

TODAY’S RHEMA

If you can exercise authority over that affliction in your body, you will certainly recover!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY

Father, I am grateful for this wonderful truth you have reminded me about. I decree that henceforth, I will not pamper or tolerate any bodily affliction. I will take authority over it and command it to go in Jesus name. Amen!
