“Yes,” said Jesus, “if you can! Everything is possible for the person who has faith…” Mark 9:24 ( GNT)
A man came to our Lord Jesus and said, Mark 9:17-18 GNT “Teacher, I brought my son to you because he has an evil spirit in him and cannot talk. Whenever the spirit attacks him, it throws him to the ground, and he foams at the mouth, grits his teeth, and becomes stiff all over. I asked your disciples to drive the spirit out, but they could not.” Mark 9:17-18 (GNT). So, they brought the child to our Lord Jesus. And the Bible says, as soon as the spirit saw Jesus, it threw the boy into a fit, so that he fell on the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth. Mark 9:20 (GNT) Then Jesus asked, “How long has the boy been like this?“ “Ever since he was a child” he replied. “Many times, the evil spirit has tried to kill him by throwing him into the fire and the water. Have pity on us and help us, if you possibly can!” Mark 9:22 (GNT)
The father of the child had gotten to the point where he wasn’t sure if the child could still receive any form of healing, so he said to our Lord Jesus have pity and help us, if you possibly can. Now, this is something I want you to take note of. Our Lord Jesus Christ had to correct him and say Yes,” said Jesus, “if you yourself can! Everything is possible for the person who has faith…” Mark 9:24 (GNT). The New King James version puts it better and it says, Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes…” Mark 9:23 ( NKJV). Meaning, the issue is not about if God can do it, but if you can believe that God can do it. So, our Lord Jesus Christ said, if you can believe. Beloved, whatever you are going through can be sorted out by the Lord. God has solved worse cases, but the question is are you able to believe Him for that solution you desire? Do you have enough faith to hold on to God and receive your miracle? Well, you should not only have enough faith, you should build it as well through the word and trust me if you can prove your faith in God, you will surely get your miracle. Praise God!
