EVERY DREAM HAS A LIFE, KEEP HOLDING ON

“…write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who read it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry…” Habakkuk 2:2-3 (NKJV)

We all have certain dreams in our heart that we want to fulfil but many people end up not fulfilling these dreams either because they got discouraged along the way or they just do not think they were meant to fulfil a dream like that. Well, if you have been in a position like this before, you are not alone. Lots of people have faced the same thing but the good news is that there is a way out and that is to believe in your dream and keep holding on to it until you see it come to pass. The reason some people give up on their dream is that they don’t fully understand what a dream means and how to nurture it. So the question is what is a dream?  A dream is a desired ambition or an aspiration which you hope to come through someday. It lives in our heart for as long as we choose to hold on to it. It has a life and can become what you have seen on the inside. But you see, it won’t come through just because, you desired it. It comes through when you nurture it and feed it with what it requires to become a reality. Therefore, for your dream to come to pass, you must make a conscious decision to nurture it.

So how do you nurture a dream to bring it to fruition? First you have to write it down. In our opening text you saw what God said to Prophet Habakkuk. He said, “…write the vision and make it plain on tablets…” why? Because until a dream is written, it cannot be established. So write out your dream and make it visible before your eyes. And then, begin to do research on it, to work out the possibilities of bringing it to life. It is your researches that will help you understand what you are getting into and know the details involved to bring it to life.  When these are in place, back it up with daily prayers because prayer is a lifeline of your dream. If you can do these things long enough, you will see your dream making manifest before your very eyes. Therefore, be encouraged today to see your dream through. Maybe you have a dream to write a book, or start a business or go on a trip around the world, it is possible if you choose to hold on and nurture your dream. Refuse to quit or give up on your dream, remember your dream has a life, it can come through at the appointed time but you must be patient enough to stand for your dream. Do not forget, for every dream to come through, you are the propelling force to make it happen. So get to work, your dream needs you.

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY

Glorious God I thank you for reminding me of the possibilities of my dream becoming a reality, therefore I choose to hold on to my dream and nurture it to the best way I can until it becomes a reality. I commit myself to fervent prayers concerning my dream and I as I do so, it is established to the glory of God in Jesus name. Amen!
