“…take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit.” —Ephesians 6:17-18 (NKJV)
Sometimes the challenges of life come rushing in, and in most cases, it often looks as though all hell has broken loose and we will never recover. But the truth is, in the midst of the challenges, there is always a way out. But you have to maintain your composure and go back to the scriptures for direction and guidance. What happens a lot of the time is that when some people find themselves in challenges like this, the only thing that happens to them is that they get confused, and in a bid to manage the confusion, they get everything all messed up. However, this is not God’s plan for us. Whenever you find yourself in such situations, the first thing you should do is maintain your composure and go back to the scriptures for direction and guidance. Before you start disturbing yourself, one thing you should always ask is, “What does the Bible say about this?
When you study James 5:13, the Bible specifically says, “Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. In Philippians 4:6, the Bible also says, “…be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and mind through Christ Jesus…” meaning that the admonition that the Holy Scriptures have given to us in times of difficulty is to go on our knees and present the matter before God. For most people, this does not always make sense, but the truth is, this is the approach that will actually drown out the situation. I learned many years ago, not to break under the pressure of any challenge but to be the pressure on the situation. So, beloved, take these words seriously and chart your course through life. Refuse to allow any situation to drown you; rather, be the one to drown the situation with prayers. Make a conscious decision to pray and pray again until there is a change. Spend quality time in the presence of God and pray your way out of that situation. Whether you believe it or not, the solution to any challenge can be found in a place of prayer if you will commit yourself to actually praying and praying fervently. God bless you!

Confession for the Day
Father in the name of Jesus, I thank you for revealing to me such wonderful truth in your word. I choose this day to take advantage of it and produce results in my life in the name of Jesus. I refuse to go under the pressure of any situation, but rather I choose to be the pressure through my prayer life in the name of Jesus. Amen!
