“….Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God…” James 4:4 (NKJV)

When we take a very close look at what is happening in the world today, you will discover that a lot has been brought into existence. From the way people talk, think, dress and even live their lives, has changed a great deal. Today, you will hear things like, “we are not married, but we have a live-in relationship” some others say “I am neither a man nor a woman” and the worse of them all, is the attempt to completely manipulate and annihilate the word “family”. All these are strategies that the devil has inspired men to bring up so that humanity can abandon God’s laid down principles for living. But you see, these lifestyles have consequences and its part of the reason many unimaginable incidents are taking place in the world today which are claiming lives in mass.

Beloved, you cannot afford to live like this. If you truly want to see the blessings of the scriptures manifest in your life, if truly want your days to be long and all to be well with you, it is best you draw your inspiration from the word of God and not the world.  It is true that some of those worldly ways of living are desirable but trust me, they are dangerous as well. They can put you in such situation that will give the devil legal grounds over your life. To avoid such, it is best you make a conscious decision to draw your inspiration from the counsel of God in His word. You must understand that God is the author of life and there is no one better to tell us how to live other than Him. So, as you journey this year, let God’s word be your inspiration for anything that you do. Remember, “…..whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God…”James 4:4 (NKJV). Avoid this at all cost. Praise God!

Today’s Rhema

No odds, let the counsel of the word of God, be your source of inspiration!

Confession for the Day

Glorious and ever living Father, I thank you for the privilege you have given to me to receive your word today. I decree that my life will be patterned according to your word and as I live by your word, I am bearing godly fruits in the name of Jesus. Amen!
