Don’t Waver at the Promise of God

“….He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform….“Romans 4:20‭-‬21 (NKJV)

As a believer, if you truly want to excel in your walk with God and be outstanding, you must make a conscious decision to hold on to the promises of God without wavering or doubting.  The reason is because when you doubt the promises of God, you deny that promise its power in your life. 

When God made Papa Abraham a promise, the Bible recorded that Abraham “…did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God….” Romans 4:20 (NKJV) Did you see that?? Now, the question is why was Papa Abraham not moved? Well, it’s simple, the Bible says, He was “…fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform…” Romans 4:21 ( NKJV). Papa Abraham knew that God doesn’t waste people’s time. He knew that if God had made a promise, then He would surely make it happen. 

Now, this is how you ought to operate as well. You have to be fully convinced and take advantage of the promises of God. You might say but how do I know them? It’s not difficult, all you need to do is search the scriptures and know what God has said. In most cases, He may even give you specific encounters where He says some specific things to you. Hold on to what you have seen in the scripture and what He had told you. Let it become your strong hold and you will be amazed and you will go through life full of strength and confidence and at the right time, you will see those promises manifest in your life like never before. So, no matter what you face or go through, refuse to waver at the promises of God because when you waver, you are a double minded man, and the Bible says, a double minded man is unstable in all his ways and he will not be able to receive anything from God ( Scripture Reference: James 1:6-8).

Confession for the Day

Father, I am grateful for the strength I have received through your word today. I decree that the grace to stay focus on your promises is at work in me and no matter what happens, I will never let go of your promises because they are life to me and they are manifesting in my life in the name of Jesus
