Try Again!

“…she said to herself, “if only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well…” Matthew 9:21 (NKJV)

The text above was the statement of the woman who had suffered the issue of blood for over twelve years. She spent all her earnings looking for a solution but twelve years down the line, her condition did not change. But the very moment she heard that Jesus was passing by, she said to herself, “If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well…” Matthew 9:21 (NKJV). Did you see that? One would expect that after years of trying again and again she would give up, but she didn’t. Rather she spoke to herself to stir hope in herself so that she could try again and guess what, when she did touch the hem of Jesus’ garment like she said to herself, she received her healing.

The lesson here in this story is that she did not give up looking for solutions. Before she heard about our Lord Jesus Christ, she had spent all her livelihood trying to get a solution but she didn’t get one. However, the moment she heard about Jesus she decided to try one more time and she got the solution that she was looking for. Beloved, you must understand that as long as you are in Christ Jesus, solutions are not far off, but you must be willing to keep trying. Over the years, I have seen people who give up looking for solutions because the efforts they made in the past did not work out as planned and the sad part is that, when they gave up, they never got the solution they were looking for. Beloved, if truly want to get solutions in whatever situation you find yourself in, you must never stop trying for solutions. Take a cue from the woman with the issue of blood. After many years of trying without solutions, she never stopped trying until she finally got the results she was looking for. The question is, what solutions have you been looking for all this while? Give it another try using the name of Jesus and you will be amazed at the results you will get praise. God!

Confession for the Day

Father, I am grateful for this wonderful truth you have revealed to me today, I choose this day to keep making efforts to get the solutions I am looking for and as I make these efforts, I decree that solutions abound in my life in the name of Jesus. Amen!
