The grace (favor and spiritual blessing) of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the presence and fellowship (the communion and sharing together, and participation) in the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen (so be it). —2 Corinthians 13:14 (AMPC)
One of the major reasons people pray and don’t get results is that they see prayer only as a means of getting something from God. They miss the true essence of prayer and focus only on what they want. When the answers don’t come, they get disappointed, sometimes even offended, and stop praying. They are unaware that even though prayer can fix things, that is not its primary purpose.
Sadly, many people have stopped praying for this reason, and those who continue often do so religiously, having lost the true meaning of prayer. Beloved, if you want to regain your prayer life and see results, don’t chase after the results. Instead, chase after God.
Seek to have robust fellowship with Him. When this becomes your primary purpose, the presence of God will transform you, and everything you need will be made available, often without you even having to ask. When you study the patriarchs of old, and even faith leaders today, you will find this is the secret they discovered. They didn’t go to God just for what they needed; they went to spend time with Him.
Their focus was more on God’s heart than on His hands, knowing that if they could capture His heart, they would have His hand. This is why you see them commanding remarkable results—they knew what the Father truly wanted and how to spend time in fellowship with Him. So, I admonish you today to get back to the place of fellowship. It is where you can truly find God and know what is in His heart for you.
When you begin to have genuine fellowship, all that you are looking for will be made available through the direction, instruction, and guidance you receive. Therefore, start today and begin to grow in your fellowship with God. Hallelujah!
