“….when we all had fallen to the ground, I heard a voice speaking to me and saying in the Hebrew language, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads….”Acts 26:14 (NKJV)

When we take a look at the life of Saul before he was called Paul, we see that he was a zealous man. He was zealous for God and that was what made him persecute the church. It was in the process of trying to persecute the church that He encountered the Lord Jesus who asked him “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?…”– Acts 26:14 ( NKJV). He had genuine intentions in thinking was fighting for God, not knowing he was actually fighting against God.

In the same way, some well meaning Christians and pastors are actually persecuting the church unconsciously. In trying to address some things that they feel are not right in the church, they end up causing division in the body of Christ at large. Today, many young believers have become confused because of the barrage of negative information about the church. This has corrupted the faith of these young ones, and has made them unable to truly grow in their faith walk and be committed followers of our Lord Jesus Christ.

However, you and I can avoid this by refusing to join those who are persecuting the church. Do not follow them to share such controversial information that will weaken the faith of many. It is true that a lot is going on right now in the church and against the church. I know that there are many nefarious activities going on by some people who are yet to truly know Jesus, but it doesn’t make the Gospel false. The church and the gospel we preach still remains the hope and solution for mankind. Therefore, make a conscious decision to share only the good news. Whatever you want to share with the world, should bring people to Christ and not take them away or confuse them. Remember, there is an urgency for people to receive this good news because their eternal destination is on the line.

Today’s Rhema

If you must share any content out there or participate in any discussion, it should be one that will bring many to Jesus and not take them away!

Confession for the Day

Father, I am so grateful to You for helping me understand my role in propagating the Gospel in these end times. I choose to spread the Gospel and not bad news or controversial news in the name of Jesus. Amen!
