“…so let us not become tired of doing good; for if we do not give up, the time will come when we will reap the harvest. So then, as often as we have the chance, we should do good to everyone, and especially to those who belong to our family in the faith…” Galatians 6:9 (GNT)
Have you ever found yourself helping others again and again, and the devil comes to you to say, “for how long will you keep this up”. Well, don’t ever give in to such ministrations because it is not from God. As believers, one of our major responsibilities is to help others according to the measure of God’s blessings in our lives, and to do it without getting tired.
The Bible says in our opening text, “…let us not become tired of doing good; for if we do not give up, the time will come when we will reap the harvest. So then, as often as we have the chance, we should do good to everyone, and especially to those who belong to our family in the faith…” Galatians 6:9 (GNT) Did you see that? Most times, when you are helping others, people will try to dissuade you and make you look as though you do not know what you are doing, but is their counsel true? The answer is a big no. We are never to get tired of helping others, God expects us to keep helping until the people we are helping find their feet.
Therefore, as you journey in your Christian walk, learn to help others when you get the opportunity to do so. In Galatians 6:2, the Bible says, “…help carry one another’s burdens, and in this way, you will obey the law of Christ…” In Hebrews 13:16, the Bible says “….do not forget to do good and to help one another, because these are the sacrifices that please God…”. Interestingly, when you keep sticking yourself out for others like this, the Bible says, “…the time will come when we will reap the harvest…” Galatians 6:9 (GNT). Hallelujah!

God expects us to keep helping until the people we are helping find their feet!
