“…after all, we don’t want to unwittingly give Satan an opening for yet more mischief- we’re not oblivious of his sly ways….” —2 Corinthians 2:11 (MSG)

Having established a major reason why you should not be ignorant of demonic activities in the first part of this article, the question now is, how can you protect yourself from their activities. First of all, take your Christian walk very seriously. Yes, you heard me right. There are far too many believers today, who do not understand the importance of taking the Christian walk seriously. They just want to be lukewarm Christians, which is not God’s plan for us at all. The dangers of being a lukewarm Christian cannot be overemphasized. Sadly, not many see it that way, they want to be committed to everything else, except their Christian walk.

Beloved,  You can’t outsmart the devil if you are still among those who play with their Christian walk. Some folks today have cultivated the habit of not coming to church regularly to hear faith-filled words and be enveloped in an atmosphere of fellowship. They find it difficult to study their Bible. Praying and even fasting from time to time is a problem for them. Sowing seeds, winning souls, and yearning for the things of God are now problems, and yet they want to be protected from demonic activities. It won’t happen. When all these are not in place, you open yourself to their manipulation. So it is important that you become fervent in your Christian walk. This is the only way you will be able to shield yourself from their activities. So make a conscious decision to step up in your walk with God; that is where the victory over demonic activities and agendas lies. It is in your best interest that you become a Christian who is established in God’s word and is on fire for the things of God. Luke warm Christianity, is license to defeat. demonic oppression and manipulation. So be “…fervent in spirit, serving the Lord, rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer…” Romans 12:11-12 (NKJV) Halleluiah!

Luke warm Christianity, is license to demonic oppression and manipulation!

Confession for the Day

Dear heavenly father, I thank you for teaching me your word and for helping me understand the need for spiritual fervor. I declare that henceforth I will take my walk with you seriously and be fervent in all spiritual matters, putting the devil and his cohorts out of business in the name of Jesus. Amen!
