“Make certain that you do not forget the LORD your God, who rescued you from Egypt, where you were slaves.” — Deuteronomy 6:12 (GNT)

One of the easiest things to do these days is to forget God. Our world is programmed to turn the hearts of men away from Him. With mobile phones, the internet, and busy work schedules, people rarely have time for anything else. Most lives revolve around work, phones, and family. In fact, some are so attached to their phones that if you take them away, they can fall ill.

Likewise, if you lose your job, fear and panic set in because you worry about your next source of sustenance. All these factors make it increasingly difficult for people to remember God in their daily lives. Even the little time they have, they choose not to spend with Him. When challenges arise, they struggle to trust God wholeheartedly because they are not accustomed to seeking His presence.

But is this what God wants from us? The answer is a resounding no. In the midst of all these distractions, you must make a conscious decision to always remember God. Some may ask, “Is that really necessary?” Absolutely—it is, because He is the reason for your existence. God is your source, your pillar, and the very breath in your nostrils. Ignoring Him is like ignoring your own life. Sadly, many live in this state, and when they need Him the most, they wonder why He remains silent.

Therefore, choose to remember God in all you do. Stop making excuses and deliberately create time for Him—His Word, His statutes, and His work. Remember, He deserves it. He has watched over you since childhood, kept you safe, and provided for you. Remembering Him is how you honor and appreciate all He has done for you. Be like the Psalmist who said,

“I will remember the works of the LORD; surely I will remember Your wonders of old. I will also meditate on all Your work, and talk of Your deeds.” — Psalms 77:10-12 (NKJV)

Today’s Rhema

God is your source, your pillar, and the breath in your nostrils. Ignoring Him is like forsaking your mercy!

Confession for the Day

Father, I am grateful for reminding me of the need to always remember You in all my dealings. I choose today to remember You and honor You for all You have done for me, now and every day of my life, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
