Several years ago, while I was trying to figure out certain things, I realized that I just needed help—the help of someone who would not let me down. Then I heard the still small voice that said to me, “Let me help you.” I realized that in trying to get everything done myself, I had forgotten that I had all the help I could ever need in the Holy Spirit of God. Then a scripture came to my heart which declared, “I will remember the deeds of the Lord, yes I will remember your miracles of long ago.” Psalm 77:11(NIV). And right there, I went on my knees and said a little prayer, asking the Holy Spirit to act on my behalf, and carry out all the work I tried doing myself. And before I knew it, what seemed so difficult had become very simple.
What I could not handle, became as simple as writing my name on a sheet of paper. And the only thing I could say then was, “Thank you dearest Holy Spirit, for being there for me in my time of need.” You may pray a lot, fast a lot, and even study the word of God a lot. It’s all not enough without a consciousness of the presence of the Holy Spirit in you. Whatever spiritual activities you do, they will not be complete without a constant reminder in your mind of the precious Spirit of the living God who lives in you. It’s very easy to forget that the Holy Spirit even exists. Our lack of communication or fellowship with the Holy Spirit can make Him seem less important to us in our day-to-day activities. But the truth is, we can’t do without the Holy Spirit, because He is the performer of miracles and the One who brings our expectations to pass. So it’s important that we are always reminded of His presence by engaging in fellowship, communion, and conversations with him. He is our helper, and He is always ready to help, if we speak to Him about the things we really want. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
Thank you, precious Father, for giving me the Holy Spirit, and for bringing to my remembrance the consciousness of my helper, my friend, and my guide. I thank you because I and the Holy Spirit are an unbeatable team, working together to achieve all things. Amen!
