“when He the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will tell you things to come …” John 16:13 (NKJV)

Through the finished works of our Lord Jesus Christ, we have access to so many privileges. One of these privileges is the direction and guidance of God that has been made available to us through the promised Holy Ghost. Jesus said to His disciples, “when He the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will tell you things to come …” John 16:13. When Jesus spoke about this to His disciples, the Spirit had not yet come to dwell in them. But it was a promise that was fulfilled on the day of pentecost. Today, we have the Holy Ghost living in us, which means we can depend on Him for direction in business or academics, guidance in career or family matters, and counsel in every area of our lives.

Refuse to live your life as though you don’t have the Holy Ghost, recognize His presence in your life and act accordingly. Depend on Him and take advantage of His infinite wisdom. When you depend on the Spirit of God for all these, you will not walk in depression or confusion. You will know all things and at every point you know the right step to take, the right business to invest in and the right place to go. Therefore, make up your mind to depend on the Holy Spirit for counsel and guidance. Refuse to seek guidance from anywhere else but the Holy Spirit. Hallelujah!

Confession for the Day

Father, I am grateful for this eye opening article. I choose to depend on the Holy Spirit for guidance, counsel and direction and as I do, confusion and indecision are far from me in Jesus name. Amen!
