Fight, two fists hitting each other over dramatic sky

“….we are hedged in (pressed) on every side (troubled and oppressed in every way) but not cramped or crushed; we suffer embarrassments and are perplexed and unable to find a way out, but not driven to despair; we are pursued (persecuted and hard driven), but not deserted (to stand alone), we are struck down to the ground, but never struck out and destroyed…” —2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (AMPC)

Having established the first step you must take to deny any situation the victory over you, we will be looking at the next action you must take which is, changing the way you talk. Whether you like it or not, your words go a long way to influence that situation positively or negatively. If all you say are the wrong words, then you are helping that situation to destroy you, but if your words are the right words, then you are denying the situation power over you. Most times, people tend to take these things lightly but guess what? It is in small matters like this that victory lies. Unfortunately, many of God’s people have worsened their situation by speaking the wrong words. They have trapped themselves with negative words, which ought not to be so. However, if you must deny any situation the victory over your life, you must make a conscious decision to watch the words that come out of your mouth. Remember, the Bible says, “…by your words, you will be justified and acquitted, and by your words, you will be condemned and sentenced…”(Matthew 12:37 AMPC). As simple, as this word may sound, it speaks volumes. It determines the outcome you will get in any situation.

Now, after you have done all these, you need to nurture your faith in God’s word, so as to enable you to build a strong faith to face the situation and conquer. Remember faith is needed to quench the fiery darts of the devil (Ephesians 6:16). So when you have done all these, continue in prayers, “… always praying with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance…” Ephesians 6:18 (NKJV), knowing very well that as you continue in prayers, you weaken the stronghold of the situation over your life. You can’t continue with these things and remain the same. So build yourself with these few steps and go all out against that situation and the devil that is responsible for it. You are destined to win and not to lose, never forget that. God bless you!

Today’s Rhema

Situations don’t just bow, they bow only when there is a strong opposition against them and that opposition has to be you!

Confession for the Day

Father in the name of Jesus, I thank you for teaching me your word and revealing to me steps to take to defeat the adversary. I declare that as I take these steps and put your word to work, I abound with results through your grace and I make giant strides and win in all situations in the name of Jesus. Amen!
