Deny That Situation the Victory (2)

“We are hedged in (pressed) on every side (troubled and oppressed in every way) but not cramped or crushed; we suffer embarrassments and are perplexed and unable to find a way out, but not driven to despair; we are pursued (persecuted and hard driven), but not deserted (to stand alone), we are struck down to the ground, but never struck out and destroyed…” 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (AMPC)

Having emphasized the need to work on our minds as the first step to gaining victory over any situation, the next line of action is to work on the way you speak. Whether you believe it or not, your words go a long way to influence that situation positively or negatively. If all you say are the wrong words, then you are helping that situation to destroy you, but if your words are the right words, then you are denying the situation power over you. Most of the time, people tend to take these things lightly, but guess what? It is in small matters like this that victory lies. Until and unless you begin to release words that will paralyze that situation, nothing will happen. It is for this reason our Lord Jesus Christ said, “Whoever says to this mountain,” Be removed and be cast into the seas; and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says…” Mark 11:23 (NKJV). Did you see that? That is how important your words are in times of difficulty.

Now, after you have worked on the way you think and talk, you need to nurture your faith with God’s word, so as to enable you to build a strong faith to face the situation and conquer it. Remember, faith is needed to quench the fiery darts of the devil. So when you have done all these, continue in prayer, “…praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance…” Ephesians 6:18 (NKJV), knowing very well that as you continue in prayer, you weaken the strong hold of the situation over your life. At first, when you begin to take these steps, it may not look as though anything will change, but trust me, they will change overtime. You can’t continue with these things and remain the same. So build yourself up with these few steps and go all out against that situation. You are destined to win and not to lose. You are destined to come out of that challenge victoriously, and when you are out of it, you are surely moving to your next level. Praise God!

Today’s Rhema

If you can work on the way you think and talk and also nurture your faith through studying the word of God, you will surely prevail over any situation!

Confession for the Day

Thank you Heavenly Father, for these wonderful words of encouragement, I decree that no situation will swallow me up because I know what to do to come out of any situation triumphantly. So, I declare that I am winning in all things and breaking out of any situation I have found myself triumphantly in the name of Jesus. Amen!
