In the first part of this article, we established that death is now powerless against you. That might sound impossible because of the tragedies that still happen in this world and how people die every day. I understand the concern. However, when the Bible says that death is now powerless against you, it is not a mere suggestion. It is a reality in Christ Jesus that transcends the physical realm.
Death has crept into everything. Yet, when you hold onto this consciousness, the death out there in the world doesn’t matter; it will not come near you because of your union with Jesus Christ. The devil will bring negative thoughts, trying to make you believe you are still subject to the dominion of death. Choose to stand your ground.
Remind the enemy of what Jesus did for you when God the Father raised Him from the dead. This is your victory, and this is your story. Live in this reality and refuse to harbor any form of fear. Death and all its manifestations have no power over you. It stands defeated before you because of this truth:
…God, who is rich in mercy… made us alive together with Christ… and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus… —Ephesians 2:4-6 (NKJV)
So, remain bold and know that death has no power over you. Praise God!
Today’s Rhema
One of the things Jesus came to do for us was not just to die for our sins, but to defeat death so that it would no longer have dominion over us!
Prayer
Thank You, Heavenly Father, for sending Your Son, Jesus Christ, to die for me and take my place. I thank You for the life that He brought to me. I praise You because, through the finished work of Jesus Christ, death no longer has dominion over me. Glory to God!
