…Death no longer has dominion over Him. —Romans 6:9 (NKJV)
As a Christian, one of the fundamental truths you must hold dear in your walk with God is that death has no dominion over you. It might sound ridiculous or exaggerated to a religious mind, but it shouldn’t be difficult for you to believe. Understand this: one of the primary things Jesus came to do for us was not just to die for our sins, but to defeat death so that it no longer has power over us. Your responsibility is to believe this truth and live in its consciousness. Doing so will help you live completely above the fear of death.
Some folks still live with the fear of death every single day. However, considering what Jesus said to John in the book of Revelation, that fear is no longer allowed to control you:
…Don’t be afraid! I am the first and the last. I am the living one! I was dead, but now I am alive forever and ever. I have authority over death and the world of the dead. —Revelation 1:17-18 (GNB)
This means that Jesus holds the keys of Hades and death, and you are complete in Him (Colossians 2:10). Galatians 3:27 tells us that all who were baptized into Christ have clothed themselves with Christ. Therefore, death cannot function in your life, nor can it have dominion over you. Live every day in the consciousness of this truth, especially since the world we live in is full of darkness.
The devil will consistently lie, telling you that death still has dominion over you. Do not give in to his deceit. That mindset is completely contrary to the reality we have in Christ Jesus. Therefore, choose to believe God’s Word and what Jesus has done for you, rather than the lies of the enemy.
Today’s Rhema
The ultimate sacrifice Jesus offered for us has made death legally powerless against us in Christ Jesus!
Prayer
Father, I thank You for revealing this truth to me. I refuse to be intimidated by death and its operations against me. I choose to stand by Your Word and give death no room in my life. As I do this, I triumph over death every day in the name of Jesus. Amen!
