“For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.” – Galatians 6:8 (NKJV)
After becoming a Christian, do you realize how important it is to be mindful of what you spend your time on? Although we have the freedom to do many things, not everything is beneficial for our spiritual growth and well-being. As a Christian, it’s crucial to understand that God desires us to invest our time in activities that edify us and help us grow spiritually, rather than in those that are of no lasting value.
Our opening text says, “For he who sows to the flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life” Galatians 6:8 (NKJV). This scripture makes it clear: when we focus on fleshly pursuits, the results are temporary and often lead to frustration. But when we sow to the Spirit by dedicating ourselves to spiritual matters, we reap the enduring benefits of life in the Spirit.
So, is it necessary to invest time in spiritual matters? Absolutely! This investment is what enhances your life and increases your value. As you pour into your spirit through activities like prayer, Bible study, and worship, you’re building something that will stand the test of time. This is why the scripture says, “…he who sows to the flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life…” Galatians 6:8 (NKJV). Embrace this truth, submit to it, and begin to walk in this path. Your life will never be the same. Hallelujah!
